The son of Benjamin Sisko and an aspiring writer.
Jake Sisko is the son of Benjamin Sisko and appears in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. He is a teenager at the series' start, having lost his mother, and he grows up on the space station where his father serves as commander.
He is thoughtful and independent, and he has no interest in joining Starfleet, preferring to pursue a career as a writer. His closest friend is Nog, with whom he shares misadventures on the station, and the two have a strong bond that survives through the Dominion War. He works as a reporter during the conflict, and his love and loyalty to his father are tested when Benjamin disappears at the end of the series. He also appears in alternate futures in several episodes.
Jake is remembered as a gentle and curious young man, and his friendship with Nog is one of the series' most heartwarming relationships.
