Twenty-first-century baseball star admired by Sisko, whose likeness was taken by an alien explorer visiting Deep Space Nine.
Buck Bokai is a baseball player of the twenty-first century who, in 2026, broke Joe DiMaggio's hitting streak. He is a hero to Benjamin Sisko, and in If Wishes Were Horses he appears as part of Jake's holosuite program before following Jake out onto the station.
The Bokai figure is one of several imaginings that become real across Deep Space Nine. Once the crisis passes, he appears in Sisko's office and explains that he and the other apparitions belong to an exploration mission from beyond the wormhole, sent to observe how humanoids use imagination, before tossing Sisko a baseball and leaving.
