An eccentric scientist who trades a rare Willie Mays baseball card to Jake and Nog for parts to build an immortality chamber.
Dr. Elias Giger is an odd scientist living on Deep Space Nine in In the Cards. He outbids Jake Sisko and Nog at an auction for a lot containing a 1951 Willie Mays rookie card, which the boys want as a gift for Benjamin Sisko.
Giger offers them the card in exchange for equipment to build a cellular regeneration and entertainment chamber that he believes will grant immortality. His disappearance draws Weyoun's suspicion, and the boys are briefly taken aboard the Vorta's ship before getting the card. Giger was played by Brian Markinson.
