During the Bajoran Gratitude Festival, Lwaxana Troi's visit coincides with a wave of misplaced romantic attraction that spreads among the station's residents.
The station prepares for the Bajoran Gratitude Festival, with Bareil visiting Kira and Keiko home from her research job on Bajor. Lwaxana Troi arrives to pursue Odo, and suffers headaches, after which those around her suddenly feel strong attraction to the wrong people: Jake falls for Kira, Bareil chases Dax, and Dax pursues Sisko.
The cause turns out to be an illness Lwaxana has, which makes her project her feelings telepathically. Once she is treated, everyone returns to normal. Miles and Keiko, who argued over her long stays on Bajor, make up.
