American actor who grew up on screen as Jake Sisko, son of Benjamin Sisko, across all seven seasons of Deep Space Nine.
Cirroc Lofton is an American actor and podcaster, born in 1978, who began acting as a child in small roles before being cast in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine as a teenager.
As Jake Sisko, Lofton played the son of the station's commander from the 1993 pilot through the 1999 finale. Jake's story followed him from an adolescent getting into scrapes with his Ferengi friend Nog to an aspiring writer and war correspondent during the Dominion occupation of the station. The fourth season episode The Visitor, in which an elderly Jake is played by Tony Todd, is frequently ranked among the franchise's finest hours.
Lofton's close friendship with Aron Eisenberg, who played Nog, carried on long after the series ended, and the two co-hosted a Deep Space Nine rewatch podcast, The 7th Rule, until Eisenberg's death in 2019.
