An Orion ensign who serves on the Cerritos.
Tendi is an Orion ensign who serves in the medical department of the USS Cerritos in Star Trek: Lower Decks, voiced by Noel Wells. Unusually sweet, enthusiastic and fascinated by medicine, she breaks the stereotype of her people's reputation for piracy and instead pursues a life of healing.
She is a lively source of heart for the series, forming deep friendships with Mariner, Boimler and Rutherford, and growing into a capable and ambitious officer. Her background in the Orion Syndicate and her family's criminal ties surface from time to time and force her to confront her loyalties, while her close relationship with Rutherford becomes one of the show's most affectionate threads.
Tendi endures as a delightful embodiment of the show's optimism. Her joy, her talent and her kindness make her a standout in the new generation of Starfleet heroes.
