The Cerritos visits a habitat with a faltering computer while the junior crew haze a lieutenant.
The Cerritos visits Corazonia, an idyllic space habitat run by Vexilon, an ancient computer that is starting to fail. Freeman's repairs shut Vexilon down entirely and throw the habitat into chaos. Boimler leads his first away mission, to decommission a power plant, and insists on doing all the work himself until T'Lyn persuades him to trust his team. He is killed when the plant explodes but is revived by Dr. T'Ana.
On the ship, Lieutenant Dirk sets Mariner, Tendi and Rutherford to scan thousands of chips for a single fault. Suspecting hazing, they plant a Chula game in his quarters, then help him when they learn the game traumatized him as a child.
