Foul-mouthed Caitian chief medical officer of the USS Cerritos, a skilled but cantankerous doctor and D'Vana Tendi's boss.
T'Ana, voiced by Gillian Vigman, is the Caitian chief medical officer of the USS Cerritos in the 2380s. The series' creator described her as a good doctor but an unpleasant cat. Including a Caitian in the cast nods to Star Trek: The Animated Series, which featured another member of the species, M'Ress.
T'Ana runs the Cerritos sickbay with blunt efficiency and frequent profanity, and she shows little patience for the junior officers who wander in. She is the direct superior of the Orion ensign D'Vana Tendi, whom she pushes hard and quietly respects, and she treats the rest of the crew, captain included, with the same gruff impatience. T'Ana is in a romantic relationship with the security chief Shaxs, and the two pursue intense holodeck fantasies together.
T'Ana is a regular source of comedy on Lower Decks, but she is also shown to be a highly capable physician. She is one of the most prominent Caitians in Star Trek since the animated era.
