A small blob-like alien aboard the Protostar.
Murf is a mysterious creature in Prodigy, a small, wide-eyed blob who appears to be a pet of one of the young crew but is much more than he seems. He is a cheerful and playful companion who often gets into trouble while exploring the starship.
His nature turns out to be remarkable, and it connects to secrets about the ship and its history. The crew's discovery of what he can do adds a twist, and his presence brings both comedy and tension. He is part of the team and often steps in at crucial moments.
