A distress call brings the crew, minus an ailing Murf, to a planet whose people, the Enderprizians, revere Starfleet and imitate it in their customs. A mysterious illness strikes the villagers and then Dal.
The crew traces it to a cave holding a Federation shuttlecraft that crashed long ago with Ensign Garrovick of the USS Enterprise; its leaking plasma is poisoning the area. The crew and villagers remove the threat and seal the cave, and Zero devises a cure. Back aboard, the crew finds Murf wrapped in a cocoon. Aaron J. Waltke wrote the episode.
