Murf's mural points to coordinates that a humpback whale helps decode, while Gwyn's visions intensify.
Gwyn blames herself for Solum's civil war and is troubled by the voice from her vision. Murf paints a mural of the spiral she has seen, but the universal translator cannot make sense of his babbling, so the friends turn to Rok-Tahk.
Guided by Gillian, a humpback whale in Voyager's Cetacean Ops, Rok helps Murf dive underwater, where he sprouts a tail and fins, and Gillian translates his words into a set of coordinates. During another phasing episode Gwyn sees the spiral in space and hears the voice warning her. Jennifer Muro wrote the episode.
