She pursues Captain Picard with persistent attention, which he tries to escape. In Half a Life she falls in love with a scientist whose culture expects him to end his life at sixty, and in Dark Page she is forced to confront her long-buried grief over her first daughter, Kestra, who drowned as a child.
On Deep Space Nine she takes a fancy to Odo, and the two share a revealing moment when trapped in a turbolift in The Forsaken. In The Muse she arrives pregnant and fleeing her husband, and Odo marries her in a Tavnian ceremony so that she can keep her unborn son. Her bluster hides genuine vulnerability.
