Ichthyoid humanoids from Antede III who enter a catatonic trance to endure space travel, and whose delegates once plotted to bomb a peace conference.
Antedeans are fish-like humanoids from Antede III. Space travel distresses them so severely that they enter a self-induced catatonic state for the journey, and they wake with enormous appetites. Their world was divided over whether to join the Federation.
In Manhunt, the Enterprise carried two Antedean delegates to a conference on Pacifica. Lwaxana Troi, aboard at the same time while seeking a husband, used her telepathy to reveal that the pair were assassins carrying ultritium explosives intended to destroy the conference.
