Ship carrying the last surviving Tarellians, refugees from a deadly plague, which approached the planet Haven in search of somewhere to live out their lives.
The Tarellian plague ship carried a few survivors of the Tarellians, a species almost wiped out by a lethal biological weapon. In Haven, the ship approached the planet Haven at sublight speed, and Picard had it held in a tractor beam to keep the infection away from the world.
Among the refugees was Ariana, the woman Wyatt Miller had been seeing in his dreams for years. Wyatt, a doctor who was supposed to marry Deanna Troi, beamed aboard the Tarellian ship to help find a cure and left with them.
