Lwaxana Troi arrives on the station and takes a shine to Odo.
Bashir is stuck guiding a group of visiting Federation ambassadors, among them Lwaxana Troi, who becomes taken with Odo after he recovers her stolen brooch. Meanwhile, Dax and O'Brien download the data of a probe that came through the wormhole, and the station's computer starts failing.
A breakdown traps Lwaxana and Odo together in a turbolift, and as Odo nears the point when he must return to his liquid state, he opens up to her and she helps him through it. O'Brien finds that the downloaded program behaves like a playful life form that likes him, and keeps it content by building it a place of its own in the computer.
