A Kaelon scientist trying to save his world's dying sun, whose romance with Lwaxana Troi collided with his culture's ritual of death at age 60.
Timicin came aboard the Enterprise-D in Half a Life to test a method for reviving the dying sun of Kaelon II. Lwaxana Troi took an immediate liking to him, and a romance developed between them.
The test failed, and Timicin was approaching his sixtieth birthday, the age at which every Kaelon ended their life in a ceremony called the Resolution. He first sought asylum so he could continue his research, but his family and his people opposed it. He decided to return home for his Resolution, and Lwaxana went with him. He was played by David Ogden Stiers.
