The ruthless Vau N'Akat who rules the Tars Lamora prison colony and hunts for the Protostar.
The Diviner is the main antagonist of the first season of Star Trek: Prodigy, voiced by John Noble. He is a Vau N'Akat whose homeworld was torn apart by a civil war that followed his people's first contact with Starfleet, and he has traveled back in time to stop that future from happening.
On the mining world of Tars Lamora he holds prisoners of many species in forced labor while searching for the lost Starfleet ship Protostar, which carries the weapon he means to use against Starfleet. His robotic enforcer Drednok carries out his orders, and his daughter Gwyn grows up under his rule. When Dal R'El and his friends find the Protostar and escape, the Diviner pursues them, and in the second half of the season his plan becomes a plot to cripple Starfleet with a computer virus hidden aboard the ship.
In the season finale he is fatally wounded while trying to save Gwyn, and before he dies he asks her to unite their people.
