A Vau N'Akat who posed as a Starfleet ensign to destroy the Federation and later became a tyrant on her homeworld.
Asencia is a Vau N'Akat, the same species as the Diviner, who traveled back in time to stop the future destruction of her homeworld, Solum. Calling herself the Vindicator, she infiltrated the USS Dauntless as Ensign Asencia, and when the Diviner hesitated she killed him and launched the living construct weapon to destroy Starfleet. She is voiced by Jameela Jamil.
When that plan failed she went to Solum, poisoned her people against the Federation and became its dictator, capturing Wesley Crusher to take temporal technology from his mind. Her actions sparked the very civil war she had come back to prevent.
Gwyn defeated her when the Vau N'Akat gave Gwyn their strength, and the warlord was taken into custody expressing remorse. A younger Asencia from the present day, kind and horrified by her future self, joined the rebellion against her.
