A tachyon storm splits the crew across streams of time moving at different speeds.
Nandi tells the Diviner where to find the Protostar, and while still months away he hacks his shuttle's replicator to build a new copy of Drednok. Aboard the ship, the crew fails to solve a riddle together, and then a tachyon storm splits them into separate streams of time, each moving at a different speed.
Janeway, as the ship's hologram, can move between the streams, and she helps each crew member contribute one piece of a plan to save the ship. Rok-Tahk, for whom time passes most slowly, ends up finishing the work and reverses the anomaly, though a partly built Drednok replica survives. The episode makes its lesson in teamwork literal: friends who could not cooperate in the same room succeed only when each does a share alone, and the shy Rok-Tahk gets her chance to carry the plan through. Nikhil S. Jayaram wrote the episode, with Olga Ulanova and Sung Shin directing.
