A nomadic species from Enterprise whose Cabal faction was genetically enhanced by a mysterious figure from the future.
The Suliban are a genetically modified species with cellular enhancements that give them extraordinary abilities. They can change their appearance, climb on walls, and withstand many environmental hazards, and they are very agile and fast. They originally lived on their world but were later scattered across space.
Many Suliban in the Enterprise era were organised into cells that worked for a mysterious figure from the future, who gave them their enhancements in return for service in the Temporal Cold War. The Suliban were thus used as pawns in a conflict that they did not fully understand, and their society was divided and weak.
The Suliban appear in the pilot episode of Enterprise, Broken Bow, and in many other episodes in the series. Silik is the best known of them, a cell leader who clashes repeatedly with Captain Archer and who receives orders from a future-based entity.
