Enterprise recovers a small derelict ship from the future and is attacked by both Suliban and Tholians, who want it for themselves.
Enterprise finds a small, abandoned ship containing a human body, and soon learns the craft is a time ship that is larger on the inside than outside. Archer speculates that it may come from the future, possibly from Earth.
Suliban and Tholian ships arrive, each demanding the vessel, and Enterprise is caught between them. The ship generates temporal distortions that disrupt Enterprise. Ultimately the Tholians and Suliban fight, and the time ship disappears. The episode marks the first appearance of the Tholians in the series. It was directed by James Whitmore Jr. and written by Mike Sussman and Phyllis Strong.
