A former member of the Suliban Cabal who gave the Klingon courier Klaang evidence of the Cabal's meddling in Klingon affairs.
Sarin is a Suliban woman who once belonged to the Cabal but turned against it. In Broken Bow she meets Captain Archer at the Rigel X trade complex, where she appears in a human guise, and explains that she entrusted Klaang with proof that the Cabal was stirring up conflict among Klingon factions.
Her account gives Archer his first real understanding of why the Suliban are hunting Klaang and why the courier must reach Qo'noS. Her information sets the Enterprise crew on the trail of the Cabal and its shadowy patron from the future, but she does not survive the Cabal's pursuit.
