An explosion caused by a shuttlepod's engines wipes out a mining colony on Paraagan II, killing thousands, and the Vulcans push for Enterprise's mission to end. Starfleet recalls the ship to Earth, and Archer blames himself.
Daniels appears and tells Archer that the disaster was arranged by the Suliban Cabal to discredit humanity, and he helps Archer obtain evidence from a Suliban base. As Silik and the Suliban take over Enterprise, Daniels pulls Archer into the 31st century, but the future they reach is in ruins.
