The final battle of the Dominion War and the end of the series.
The first half of the series finale opens with the Federation, Klingon and Romulan alliance launching its final offensive against the Dominion, Breen and Cardassian forces, after a Prophet appears to Sisko in his mother's form and says his journey's end lies behind him. On Cardassia Prime, Kira, Garak and Damar sabotage the power grid and cut the Dominion fleet off from its command center. In reprisal the Female Changeling orders an entire Cardassian city destroyed.
When the three are captured and about to be executed, Cardassian soldiers turn on their Jem'Hadar guards, and Cardassian ships switch sides in the battle. The Founder answers by ordering the extermination of the Cardassian people. On Bajor, Dukat and Kai Winn take the Book of the Kosst Amojan to the Fire Caves to free the Pah-wraiths. The episode gathers the war, the Cardassian rebellion and the Emissary storyline into one last convergence.
