Mexican-born American writer and producer who co-wrote many late-season Deep Space Nine episodes with Ira Steven Behr, including the series finale.
Hans Beimler is a television writer and producer, born in Mexico in 1953, who began his career as an assistant director before moving into screenwriting. He was a writer, story editor and co-producer on Star Trek: The Next Generation between 1988 and 1990, and later worked on the series TekWar.
Beimler joined Star Trek: Deep Space Nine in 1995 and remained until the show ended in 1999. Much of his work there was in partnership with showrunner Ira Steven Behr, and the pair co-wrote a string of major Dominion War episodes, among them The Siege of AR-558 and the finale What You Leave Behind.
