In 2375 the Dominion surrendered and signed the Treaty of Bajor, ending the Dominion War after Odo linked with the Female Changeling and cured her.
After the Battle of Cardassia in 2375, the Dominion's remaining forces held out on Cardassia Prime, and the Female Changeling was prepared to fight on. She was dying from a disease spreading through the Great Link.
Odo offered to link with her, curing her and showing her that solids could be trusted. In exchange, she ordered the Jem'Hadar to surrender and agreed to stand trial. The Treaty of Bajor was signed by the Dominion and the Alpha Quadrant powers aboard Deep Space Nine.
The treaty ended a war that had killed millions and devastated Cardassia. Odo returned to the Great Link to cure the rest of his people and teach them about solids. Soon afterward the crew of Deep Space Nine went their separate ways.
