Quark assembles a team to rescue his mother.
When the Dominion captures Ishka, Grand Nagus Zek offers a reward for her rescue, and Quark and Rom put together an all-Ferengi team: Nog, the eliminator Leck, their cousin Gaila and the disgraced Liquidator Brunt. Their combat drills go so badly that they decide to rely on their strengths and negotiate a prisoner exchange instead, trading the captured Vorta Keevan for Ishka.
The swap is set for the abandoned station Empok Nor with the Vorta Yelgrun, but Gaila accidentally kills Keevan. Nog rigs neural stimulators to make the dead Vorta walk, and the Ferengi turn the tables on Yelgrun, rescuing Ishka and capturing him. The episode is a comic break amid the war arc.
