Harry Mudd is a con man and smuggler who appears in Star Trek: The Original Series, the animated series and Star Trek: Discovery. He is a charming, fast-talking rogue who is always scheming, whether he is trading in dubious wares or trying to take control of a starship.
He first appears in an episode about a group of women whom he is transporting, and he returns in a second story in which he is stranded on a planet of androids and tries to turn them to his own purposes. In Discovery he appears in a time loop story and is a constant source of trouble for the crew, leading to some of the series' most comic moments. His long run-ins with Kirk make him one of the franchise's most memorable recurring guest stars.
Mudd is remembered as a lovable villain, a rascal whose wit is as quick as his hands.
