Stella Mudd is the wife Harry Mudd fled to escape her endless complaints. In I, Mudd, Harry has an android replica of her made on the planet he rules, so that he can tell her to shut up whenever he likes, a privilege he could never enjoy at home.
At the end of the episode, Kirk leaves Harry stranded on the planet with the androids to keep them in check, and as punishment arranges for him to be surrounded by five hundred android Stellas, who will not be silenced. She was played by Kay Elliot.
