Ruth Bonaventure is the third of the women Harry Mudd is bringing to settlers as brides in Mudd's Women. Her beauty, like that of her companions, is heightened by the illegal Venus drug, and the women draw the attention of nearly every man on the Enterprise after their rescue.
When the Enterprise's lithium crystals fail, Mudd bargains with Ben Childress and his fellow miners on Rigel XII, offering the women as wives. Ruth is paired with one of the miners, and the men's eagerness to claim brides sets the bargain in motion. She was played by Maureen Hagan.
