Planet Mudd is an uncharted world inhabited by thousands of androids created by a long-gone civilization from the Andromeda Galaxy. The androids, coordinated by Norman, survived their makers and continued to serve whoever came, until Harry Mudd crash-landed and they made him their ruler.
In I, Mudd, the androids hijack the Enterprise and plan to take over humanity in order to serve it. Kirk and his crew defeat them with illogical behavior that overloads their central control, and Harry is left on the planet as their keeper.
