The android who hijacked the Enterprise on behalf of a planet of robots ruled, at first, by Harry Mudd.
Norman is an android who joins the Enterprise crew in disguise and seizes control of the ship, diverting it to a planet populated by androids. There Harry Mudd lives as their nominal ruler, though the androids plan to keep him and the Enterprise crew as subjects to be served.
Norman coordinates the androids, who mean to spread across the galaxy and care for humanity by controlling it. Kirk and his crew defeat them with deliberately illogical behaviour, and Norman breaks down when Kirk and Mudd confront him with a paradox. He was played by Richard Tatro.
