A temporal agent who guided Archer during the Temporal Cold War.
Daniels is a temporal agent in Star Trek: Enterprise, played by Matt Winston, first seen in Cold Front, where he poses as a crewman aboard Enterprise NX-01. He reveals to Captain Archer that he comes from the thirty-first century and is working to stop factions who use time travel to manipulate history, including the Suliban Cabal and their mysterious future benefactor.
Over the series he appears to Archer at key moments, sometimes guiding him and sometimes sending him on dangerous missions. In the two-part Shockwave he takes Archer to the thirty-first century, only to find it devastated because the timeline has been disrupted. He appears again early in the fourth season during Storm Front, the story that brings the Temporal Cold War to an end.
Years later, in the Discovery series finale, the official known as Kovich reveals that his real identity is Agent Daniels, linking the two shows.
