Archer locates the weapon at Azati Prime and plans a suicide run to destroy it, while the Xindi launch a devastating attack on Enterprise.
Enterprise reaches Azati Prime, where the Xindi weapon is nearing completion. Archer decides to fly a captured Xindi shuttle into the facility and destroy the weapon himself, a suicide mission, leaving Tucker in command.
Daniels briefly takes Archer into the future to show him a coming war involving the Federation and urges him not to sacrifice himself. Archer goes ahead anyway, but he is captured by the Xindi, and he tries to convince Degra that the sphere builders are manipulating them. Meanwhile, Xindi ships attack Enterprise and leave it gravely damaged. The episode was directed by Allan Kroeker.
