Burnham and Moll reach a higher-dimensional structure and decide who should hold its power, followed by a wedding and an epilogue.

The portal takes Burnham and Moll to a higher-dimensional space, where Burnham persuades Moll to work with her and meets a Progenitor, who confirms the technology cannot restore L'ak. Book and Culber hold the portal open, while Saru convinces Tahal to stand down and the crew uses the spore drive to fling the Breen dreadnought far away.
Burnham decides that no one should control the technology and sends the portal into a black hole. Weeks later the crew gathers for Saru and T'Rina's wedding, and Kovich reveals he is the time-traveling agent Daniels. In an epilogue set years later, Admiral Burnham, now mother of a grown son, takes Discovery on a final mission that leaves Zora waiting for a future rendezvous. The series finale was written by Kyle Jarrow and Michelle Paradise and directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi.
