A Krenim scientist whose time-altering weapon ship rewrote history again and again in a doomed attempt to restore his empire and his lost wife.
Annorax was a Krenim scientist who designed a weapon able to erase a target from history by altering the timeline around it. He believed it could restore the Krenim Imperium to its former glory, but when he first used it, the change had unforeseen consequences that wiped out the colony where his wife lived.
For some two centuries Annorax and his crew travelled through space aboard their timeship, shielded from the changes they caused, repeatedly erasing species and planets in search of a perfect timeline in which the empire was whole and his wife survived. During this campaign Voyager endured a gruelling year of attacks, and Chakotay and Tom Paris were held prisoner aboard his vessel.
In the end Janeway rammed Voyager into the timeship, destroying it and causing history to reset to a version in which the weapon was never used. Annorax was last seen at home with his wife. His obsession made him one of Voyager's most tragic villains.
