Janeway and the Krenim confront the time weapon.
With Voyager crippled and most of the crew sent away, Janeway stays aboard almost alone while Chakotay and Tom Paris are held on the Krenim timeship of Annorax, a scientist who has spent two centuries rewriting history in a failed bid to restore his lost world and his wife. Janeway builds an alliance with other peoples Annorax has harmed, and with help from a disaffected Krenim officer, Chakotay and Paris take the timeship's temporal core offline before escaping.
The allied attack falters, so Janeway rams the battered Voyager into the timeship as it fires again. Its destruction erases it from history, and the timeline resets to before the year of attacks began. In the restored history, a Krenim patrol simply warns Voyager away and Annorax, his wife beside him, sets his work aside. The fourth-season two-parter is one of the series' best-known stories, built around Janeway's endurance and Annorax's obsession.
