Archer and T'Pol bring the Kir'Shara, an artifact with Surak's original teachings, to Vulcan, exposing V'Las and reforming Vulcan society.
Archer, T'Pol and T'Pau recover the Kir'Shara, a relic containing Surak's original teachings, and set out for the Vulcan capital. T'Pol is captured by commandos led by Major Talok, but Archer and T'Pau get through with help from Koss and present the relic to the High Command, exposing the embassy bombing as a pretext for crushing the Syrrannites before a war with Andoria.
In space, Soval leads Enterprise to the Andorian fleet, and Tucker places the ship between the Andorians and an attacking Vulcan fleet until the strike is called off. V'Las is removed, and the High Command is dissolved. In the final scene, Talok is revealed to be a Romulan agent working with V'Las. T'Pau offers T'Pol a safe meld that addresses her Pa'nar Syndrome. The episode was directed by David Livingston and written by Mike Sussman.
