Ruthless captain of the warship Shrike, allied with rogue Changelings and the Borg, who hunted Jack Crusher in Picard's final season.
Vadic, played by Amanda Plummer, commands the heavily armed warship Shrike in the 2400s. She works with a faction of rogue Changelings who are plotting against the Federation and its leaders.
In Picard's third season, Vadic hunts the USS Titan-A after Beverly Crusher and her son Jack seek refuge with Picard. She traps the ship in a nebula and later boards it in pursuit of Jack, whose unusual biology draws the interest of the Changelings and the Borg behind them. Her backstory reveals that she was once held and experimented on at a secret Federation facility, which drives her hatred of Starfleet. Vadic dies aboard the Titan during the crew's fight to retake their ship.
Vadic was the main villain of the first half of Picard's final season, and the show's producers praised Plummer's performance. She linked the season's Changeling conspiracy to the larger threat from the Borg.
