The Xindi-Primate scientist who designed the weapon that attacked Earth, and who came to trust Jonathan Archer before being murdered by Dolim.
Degra was a Xindi-Primate engineer and a member of the Xindi Council, the body that united the five surviving Xindi species. He led the development of the weapon intended to destroy Earth, including the prototype probe that killed millions of people in its attack on Florida.
When Enterprise entered the Delphic Expanse, Archer captured Degra and tricked him with an elaborate deception, convincing him that years had passed in captivity so that he would reveal the location of the weapon's construction site. Despite this, Degra grew increasingly troubled by the mission and began to doubt the Sphere Builders, the extradimensional beings who had persuaded the Xindi that humans would destroy them.
Degra eventually helped Archer present evidence of the deception to the council, but the Reptilian commander Dolim stabbed him to death for siding with the humans. His change of heart made him one of the most sympathetic figures of the Xindi arc and laid the groundwork for the Xindi factions who later helped Enterprise.
