Archer tricks Xindi scientist Degra into believing years have passed in order to learn where the weapon is being built.
Enterprise captures Degra, the Xindi Primate scientist behind the weapon, and stages an elaborate deception. Degra seems to wake aboard a shuttle, escaping an Insectoid prison camp with Archer, who claims to have been his cellmate for years and blames his memory loss on a truth drug. In fact the shuttle is a simulator aboard Enterprise.
Archer wins enough trust to get Degra to enter coordinates, but a glitch makes him suspicious. The crew then convinces him they have already reached the site, Azati Prime, and his reaction confirms it holds the weapon. Degra and his crew are mind-wiped and returned to their ship. The episode was directed by Mike Vejar, with a teleplay by Mike Sussman.
