Archer addresses the Xindi Council, which votes to delay the weapon, but the Reptilian commander Dolim kills Degra, kidnaps Sato and launches the weapon.
Archer appears before the Xindi Council with evidence that the beings behind the spheres, rather than humanity, are the Xindi's true enemy. Some councilors are persuaded, and the council votes to delay the launch, while a shuttlepod team retrieves sphere data at the cost of a MACO's life.
The Reptilian commander Dolim, backed by the Insectoids and the sphere beings, refuses to accept the decision. He murders Degra, kidnaps Sato and launches the weapon toward Earth under escort, as Enterprise and friendly Xindi ships give chase. The episode was directed by David Livingston and written by Manny Coto.
