The Rev-1 cripples the Protostar and threatens Voyager, and Zero makes a sacrifice.
Asencia's warship, the Rev-1, disables the Protostar and fires the Incursor at Voyager, a temporal weapon able to age the ship to dust. Zero sacrifices their failing body to redirect the Incursor onto Maj'el's fighter, letting Nova Squadron lure the weapon into destroying the Rev-1 with the Boothby Supernova maneuver. Zero then shows the group a new containment suit built by Jankom.
Janeway announces that Starfleet has ordered Voyager and the Protostar to Solum, and it emerges that Asencia is holding Wesley Crusher captive, having taken his temporal technology from his mind, and that she sees the battle as proof Starfleet is spread too thin for what is coming. The episode pays off Zero's failing health, set up in A Tribble Called Quest, and turns the season toward its final arc on Gwyn's homeworld. Alex Hanson wrote the episode and Sean Bishop directed.
