Tallinn reveals she guards Picard's ancestor Renée, Q enlists the geneticist Adam Soong against her, and the dying Borg Queen injects Jurati.
The Supervisor, Tallinn, explains that she protects Renée Picard, the astronaut Q has targeted, whose role in the Europa mission is vital to the future. Q approaches Dr. Adam Soong, a disgraced geneticist trying to cure his daughter Kore's illness, and offers him a cure in return for help against Renée.
Seven and Raffi break Rios out of custody. On La Sirena, the Queen lures a police officer aboard; Jurati shoots her to stop her assimilating him, but the dying Queen injects Jurati with nanoprobes. Jurati then infiltrates a gala before the mission, not realizing the Queen now lives in her mind. Cindy Appel wrote the episode and Jonathan Frakes directed.
