A disgraced 21st-century geneticist and ancestor of the Soong line who allied with Q and the Borg Queen against Jean-Luc Picard.
Dr. Adam Soong was a geneticist in 2024 Los Angeles whose career had collapsed over his unethical research. He was desperate to cure his daughter Kore's terminal genetic illness, and Q offered him a vial of medicine for her in exchange for help in stopping the astronaut Renée Picard. He was played by Brent Spiner.
Soong tried to run Renée down with his car, injuring Jean-Luc Picard instead, and later allied with the Borg Queen, supplying a squad of mercenaries for her to turn into drones in a bid to seize La Sirena. Meanwhile Kore discovered that she was the only survivor of many earlier attempts he had made to create her.
After he failed to kill Renée and Kore abandoned him, deleting his files, Soong was left with a physical folder labeled Project Khan, hinting at the genetic work that his descendants would carry forward.
