Worf and Garak work to escape from a Dominion prison camp.
The Dominion fleet bypasses the station and heads for Cardassia, where Gul Dukat announces that Cardassia has joined the Dominion with himself as leader. Sisko persuades Gowron to restore the Klingon alliance with the Federation, and Klingon, Romulan and Starfleet ships gather to defend the station.
In the internment camp, Worf fights a series of Jem'Hadar while Garak battles his claustrophobia inside the walls to rig a transmitter. The prisoners escape, and the real Bashir warns Sisko that the Changeling impostor is flying a runabout into the Bajoran sun to trigger a supernova. The Defiant stops the runabout, and Martok takes command of a permanent Klingon force on the station.
