The House of Martok is the family of the Klingon general Martok, whose household is ruled by his formidable wife Sirella. Martok rose from humble origins after being denied an officer's commission because of his low birth, and his house became one of the most prominent in the empire.
After Worf and Martok escape a Dominion prison camp together in By Inferno's Light, Martok welcomes Worf into his house, restoring his place in Klingon society. Martok becomes chancellor of the empire in 2375.
