Character Star Trek: Voyager

Naomi Wildman

Voyager's first child

The first child born aboard Voyager during its journey.

Naomi Wildman is the daughter of Ensign Samantha Wildman and the first child born aboard Voyager during its journey through the Delta Quadrant. Her mother was already pregnant when the ship was stranded, and Naomi is born in the second season. Because her father is Ktarian, she grows quickly and has small ridges on her forehead.
As a child she becomes a fixture of the ship's community. Neelix is her godfather and looks after her while her mother works, and she later forms a friendship with Seven of Nine, who becomes a mentor. Ambitious and earnest, she persuades Captain Janeway to name her the captain's assistant.
Naomi remains aboard Voyager until the end of the series. She is later mentioned in the Lower Decks episode Dos Cerritos as one of Starfleet's notable young achievers. She stands for the families and future generations carried on Voyager's long voyage home.
