A lone alien hunter who had spent decades pursuing a vast space creature that lured ships to their doom by fulfilling their crews' desires.
Qatai is an alien who appears in Bliss. For many years he has hunted an immense creature that lures ships inside by projecting a telepathic illusion of each crew's deepest wish, and his own family was lost to it. He tries to warn Voyager away from what the crew believes is a wormhole to Earth, but his messages are cut off.
With most of the crew under the creature's influence, Seven of Nine, Naomi Wildman and the Doctor work with Qatai to escape from inside it. Voyager breaks free, while Qatai remains behind to continue his hunt. W. Morgan Sheppard played the role.
