Worf seeks to clear his father's name before the Klingon High Council.
Worf learns that a Klingon vessel has come to exchange officers, and meets a Klingon named Kurn, who turns out to be his younger brother. Kurn tells him that their father, Mogh, is accused of betraying the Empire at the Khitomer massacre years earlier, and that Worf now bears the shame of his father's alleged crime.
Worf travels to the Klingon homeworld to challenge the accusation before the High Council, with Picard as his second. The story digs into the politics of the Klingon Empire and into questions of honor and family. It is an important episode that sets up a larger arc about Duras, Gowron and Klingon politics. It remains one of the best in the third season.
